1. The 60s

   At the end of the 1960s, the young Ulisse, thanks to his intuition and tenacity, began a new work adventure and founded Cereria S. Giacomo. After having been a miller in his father's mill, Ulysses decides that it is time to change and follow his dreams. He writes an article to a local newspaper and asks for clarification on the fundamental artisanal processes for making candles. Find the necessary answers and start the new business in a few years.

2. The beginnings

   Thus began a period of research and study of materials, experiments that Ulisse carried out with great passion until he found his dimension as a wax and paraffin craftsman. Production and the search for the first customers come to life. The entire production process rests on the shoulders of Ulisse and the first employees who believe in his idea. The deliveries themselves are made by Ulisse who, with his Lambretta loaded with packs of candles, goes from customer to customer to deliver.

3. The first successes

   The company's core business, as we would say now, consists of the marketing of votive and liturgical candles. The production sector is aimed at the parishes which prove to be the main interlocutor of the newly founded Cereria. The work successes allowed, in a few years, the purchase of the first machine for the mass production of candles.

4. Innovation

   In the meantime, his son Emanuele took his first steps in the wax factory and soon became passionate about working with wax. Soon the game turns into a real job, which the young Emanuele becomes passionate about by adding his knowledge as a computer expert. In fact, in the mid-nineties, Emanuele launched the Cereria's activity on the internet, creating one of the very first e-commerce sites dedicated to the marketing of candles.

5. The present… the future

   For about ten years Emanuele, in addition to supporting his father, has been making substantial innovations. The Cereria constantly adopts new and more performing technologies, both in the research of materials and in the production processes. This approach has led Cereria S. Giacomo to strengthen both the production department and the commercial sector, consolidating and expanding the sales areas. Cereria S. Giacomo in fact offers its products not only to the historic religious sector, but also to restaurants, hotels, catering and organization of ceremonies and events , and in general wherever the candle contributes to the creation of a suggestive and elegant atmosphere.
